St James Road Baptist, Watford

In west Watford on a busy junction near Vicarage Road football ground. The congregation dates from 1902, but the current building replaced one of the 1950s in 1966

Seventh Day Adventist (former), Leavesden Road, Watford now

Now converted to a Montessori nursery after the move to a larger building in nearby Brixton Road in 2011. The building dates from the mid 20th century.

Elim Pentecostal Church, St Albans Road, Watford

Built in 1897-98 as a Primitive Baptist Church which closed in 1971. The main entrance is now at the back through a 1960s hall for accessibility reasons. The architects were Thomas and Charles Howdill.

Built in 1899 as the Beulah Baptist church. The top two pictures show the rear of the building. It was designed by William Judge.

North Watford Methodist Church, The Harebreaks, Watford

Prominently sited at a road junction along the St Albans Road in North Watford. It dates from 1927-28 and was designed by Arthur Brocklehurst and (according to the local listing but not the foundation plaque) Charles Stanley Peach .

Baptist Church (Former), Leavesden Road, Watford

The church was founded in 1895 and the original church is now used as a hall (shown at the end of this set of images) next to the current church building of 1909 designed by George Baines and Son. The church closed at Christmas 2021 and is now (April 2022) up for sale.
