Built as a Church of England Training college in 1852 by Joseph Clarke. The site was a boarding school before its present status as a boarding and day school academy. The chapel of 1878 (middle gable) is just visible from the road, but is hidden by other buildings from the footpath that skirts the school site.

are there any pictures of the inside of the Chapel please. I was a pupil in the 1950s and remember sitting in it but would really like to see if my childhood memories can be confirmed. Thank you. Dawn Scrutton
I don’t have any, with it being on school grounds it would need a permission visit, which I have not so far tried to get, Andrew Wood
I went some years ago but unable to visit the Chapel due to exams being in progress, so disappointed. the Principal’s PA said she would send me some but never did
