On a hilltop overlooking the town, there are two disused chapels facing each other. One was Anglican and the other non conformist. They are similar but one has lancets at the entrance end and a gable cross, the other no crosses but cross-shaped windows at the entrance end. The cemetery dates from 1878.
The building of 1953 was replaced in 1989, but is now all but disused as a church. The building is principally used by the Community Learning Partnership with the congregation now sharing St John’s URC, Northwood.
Just down the road from the Rye Park Riverside Elim church, a windowless modern hall. The site is subject to a planning application, so far refused for a housing development (Dec 2018). It has now been replaced (November 2022) by housing.
A former chapel, now extended and concerted into a house. It is actually a little way north of the small hamlet itself and not easily visible from the road.
