Alongside the main road to Harlow, just south of the town centre. The church opened in 1863 to designs by Poulton and Woodman, the northern extensions date from 1911.

On an industrial estate in the south of the town. The centre was built in 2012 as a replacement for the Newtown Road chapel.

Just off the main street of the town and built for the Salvation Army in the mid 1920s. The Salvation Army left in 1999 and it now used by a church that is part of the International Network of Churches (formerly Christian Outreach Centre), a group founded in Australia.

Close to the town centre, it was built in 1899 and became redundant in 2000. It was eventually replaced by a modern centre some way out of the town centre. It is now converted to residential and commercial use.

Right in the middle of the town centre. The church dates from 1902. Large extensions for halls etc on the south side abut right up to the church building.

At the north end of the town centre. The chapel was built for Congregationalists in 1860, designed by Poulton and Woodman replacing an older building. There was some internal reordering in 1998.

On the way out of the town in Hockerill, in a modern Christian centre.

South west of the town centre at the apex of two roads. The church was built in 1935 and a new front was added in the 1970s. The interior of the worship space is a plain hall with no religious symbolism, apart from some posters. It is an independent evangelical church rather than a member of the Baptist Union.

Built in 1834. Disused but not yet converted to any other use (top 3 photos), although permission was granted in May 2013 for residential conversion. In April 2015 it looks as if the conversion work is almost over (note how the roof line has been raised) – see the lower images. It stands in the main street very near to the Roman Catholic Church.
