Part of an attractive, small estate village off the main from Harpenden to St Albans road. The very basic church is by G.G. Scott and dates from 1867.

St John the Baptist, Harpenden
Overlooking the Common on the south side of the town. It dates from 1908 the architect was Frederick Charles Eden with the 1999 reordering undertaken by Martin Bragg Caroe.

A small but recently extended chapel right on the Bedfordshire border. It was built as a school/church in 1869 with recent extensions of 2008. The decoration at the east end is by the noted illustrator Gordon Beningfield.

All Saints, Station Road, Batford, Harpenden
Serving the eastern side of Harpenden, lying just off the Lower Luton Road through Batford. It was built in 1965 and designed by E.P. Wilson who was a member of the congregation. It replaced a mission church of 1887.

Our Lady, Queen of Apostles, Welwyn Garden City (Roman Catholic)
Serving south and east Welwyn Garden City and built in 1959-60 to designs by Archard and Partners, It is a prominent landmark in the Woodhall district. The interior was re-ordered in 1980s with new sanctuary furniture and fibreglass windows by Carmel Cauchi. The east window glass of 1969 was removed and relocated to the south transept and the decorative ceiling pattern installed. In 2011 new glass by Matthew Lloyd Winder was installed in the aisle windows.

Christ the King, Haldens, Welwyn Garden City
In northern Welwyn Garden City, it would be easy to miss without the cross and bell outside. In 2014 the cross was removed owing to rotting but renovations should see it restored. The building dates from 1964 and was a design by Riley & Glanfield.
