A 14th and 15th century church with an unusually rebuilt classical chancel by Edward Gilbert 1727. The church lies to the north of The bury, off the main road and well over a mile north of the main parish settlement of Whitwell. The pews were installed in 2019 funded by filming of some of “Emma” at the church.

Closing the view at the northern end of the town centre. A large basically 15th century church virtually rebuilt by Lord Grimthorpe in 1894-95. The north aisle has many reset panels of medieval glass, the south many panels of very bright Belgian glass by Capronnier. Between 2023 and 2024 there was a big interior refurbishment replacing the 19th century floor and pews and the pulpit.

On top of a hill in this rather dull village near the M25. The church contains some medieval glass panels, glass and a font cover by Comper and two large late medieval tombs. A brick north aisle of the 16th century, 13th century chancel, 14th century tower and a nave of the 15th century. Restoration was by George Edmund Street in 1877-78.
