St Mary Ponsbourne, Newgate Street Village
A small village near Cuffley. The small church was built 1848, enlarged in 1858 by Lander and Bedells and the chancel added in 1887 by H Hardwicke Langston.

St Mary, Meesden
Hidden in trees, a mile east of the village, in the east of the county. The nave is 12th century, with the transepts rebuilt in 1877 and the bellcote is 19th century. The chancel is from around 1300. The remarkable brick porch dates from about 1530. The mosaic pavement around the altar dates from the 14th century.

All Saints, Little Munden
On a hilltop above and separated by a large field from the main settlement of Dane End. The church was restored by George Godwin in 1868-69. The west end of the north arcade has some 11th century work and there is a Norman door in the chancel. There are two tomb chest between the north chapel and the chancel.

St Cecilia, Little Hadham
St Andrew, Little Berkhamsted
In the centre of an attractive village south of Hertford. The church appears Victorian having been rebuilt in 1857 with further work by E. Swinfen Harris in 1893-1894 which included the east window and many furnishings. There is a Morris & Co window of 1911 and the east window is by a Danish artist Arild Rosenkrantz and dates from 1919. The north aisle altar table and the doors are both 17th century.

On the edge of the village, atmospheric despite a thorough 1870 restoration of the 15th century church. The painted lower part of the screen dates from around 1400. The south door is contemporary. The ceilings have recent paintwork in a medieval style. The Pre-Raphaelite influenced east window is by Heaton, Butler & Bayne, the rest by Lavers, Barraud and Westlake.
