The entire church was built between 1418 and 1448, except for the south chancel chapel which is a 19th century addition by Joseph Clarke. The organ case is all that remains of Bodley’s decorative scheme. It stands in the older part of Cheshunt well west of the town centre.

At the edge of a small village in bleak open fields north of Baldock. The chancel is 14th century and a Norman south doorway. The glass is a Millennium window of 2001 by Michael Lassen.

Set behind a green just off the main road through what is now a suburb of Watford. The nave, tower are 15th century and chancel is 13th century, the aisles were added in the 19th century.

Attractively sited away from the main road, facing a large green and by the New River. A 15th and 16th century church restored by Joseph Clarke in 1856-57. The classical porch is of about 1650.

Hidden in a hollow below the main road forming the western edge of this scattered village. Apart from the chancel, the church is entirely 15th century.

Set in a neat churchyard a few miles north of Hertford. The small medieval church with an 11th century Chancel and 14th century nave. It was extensively “restored” in 1840 and 1870.

Sitting raised above the town centre. A large medieval church with a brick tower top and unusually a spire, both of which were added in 1812. Joseph Clarke restored the church in 1867-68 and there was a more recent restorations by Stephen Dykes-Bower in 1960s and 70s. The chancel misericords are reputed to be from the old St Paul’s Cathedral. There is a huge collection of carved corbels and headstops around the church.

Sideways on to the main street of this small west Hertfordshire town. The chancel is from around 1200, the nave late 13th century, the vaulted eastern aisle of the north transept is from around 1300 and the south chancel chapel 14th century. A large cruciform church , reordered 1956-60 by Robert Neil so that the chancel is now virtually unused with the altar under the crossing. Restored by William Butterfield in 1871.

Sited on a rise next to The Lordship at the north end of village. It dates from the late 13th to early 14th century with a tower, clerestory and south chancel windows from the 15th century.
