Baptist Church (former), The Street, Chipperfield

A building of 1837 with a later frontage added around 1886. There had been other enlargements in 1859 and 1867. It closed as a Baptist church on 24th February 2023. An article about its history was published in the March 2023 edition of the Chipperfield News. As of August 2023 it is on the market for £850,000.

In the north east corner of the village.Built in 1988 to designs by Bird and Stones.

Taking Stock entry

St Paul, Chipperfield

A large village around a common, on one corner of which sits the church. It was designed by Thomas Talbot Bury and built in 1837, with the chancel rebuilt and extended in 1889. The west window glass is by John Hayward dating from 1966. There is also glass by Goddard and Gibbs from the 1990s.
