At the western end of the Green, it was built in 1892 and extended in 1897. Closure came in 1976 and from 1978 it has been by a model railway club, the Stevenage and District Model Railway Club’s layouts filling its interior.

A hilltop spire visible from several miles away in a spread out village south of Stevenage. The north aisle was added in the 13th century, the tower and chancel in the 15th century. Restored by Sir Arthur Blomfield in 1869-70 who heightened the tower with an upper stage.
