Built as a Particular Baptist chapel in 1869 and now a Grace Baptist Chapel. The interior has been subdivided.

Walsworth Road Baptist Church, Hitchin
On the road from the station to the town centre. A large extended complex around a 19th century gothic chapel. The chapel is of 1875-76 and was designed by J. Wallis Chapman.

Our Lady Immaculate and St Andrew, Hitchin (Roman Catholic)
North east of the town centre stands the original church of 1901, now in use as a hall having been superseded by a building of 1977. The original church is by A.E. Purdie, the replacement by Derek Goss of Hamilton Associates.

Holy Saviour, Hitchin
Down a side street a church by William Butterfield 1863-1865. The aisles were added in 1880-1883.

St Mark, Hitchin
Just of the Bedford Road on the north side of the town. Built in 1936 and subsequently extended.

St Mary, Hitchin
One of the county’s largest churches with a low tower and fine east view across the landscaped river side. The tower is 12th/13th century, the nave 14th century with a 15th century clerestory. The north and south chapels are from the second half of the 15th century. It was restored by G.G. Scott in 1858-65 and George Pace in 1962.

St Faith, Hitchin
A small church which is an Anglican and Methodist Local Ecumenical Partnership formed in 1976.The church was built in 1894 and was privately owned Anglican chapel until 1931.
