Built as a Congregational Chapel in 1887, it became part of the United Reformed Church in 1972 and amalgamated with the Methodist church in 1996.

Just down the road from St Martin’s Anglican church, it dates from 1962 and is by F.G. Broadbent and Partners, replacing a building of 1935 now used as the church hall.

The original Knebworth parish church which stands in the grounds of, and not far from, Knebworth House just outside Stevenage. The tower is 15th century and there is Norman work in the Chancel, with the Lytton chapel rebuilt around 1705 and full of vast monuments to the family. The window below is likely to be by Christopher Whall.
