Just off the village’s main street in a walled churchyard. The current building dates from a rebuilding in 1873.

St John the Baptist, Markyate

On a cramped site near Markyate Cell, the local estate, north of this large village and isolated from it by an underpass under the A5. The tower and nave are of 1734 with aisles of 1811 and a chancel of 1892.
