Primitive Methodist Chapel (former), Church Street, Baldock

It was built in 1857 as a Primitive Methodist chapel but falling membership and lack of funds led to its closure in 1916. It is now in commercial use.

Some way out from the town centre, it dates from 1914 and was designed by George Baines.

Methodist Church, Marlborough Road, St Albans

Opened in 1898, succeeding several earlier churches on different sites. The architects were Gordon, Lowther and Gunton. A spire was removed in the late 1960s/early 1970s.

Leaside Church, East Street, Ware (Methodist and United Reformed Church)

A neo Norman chapel of 1859, replacing an earlier building of 1814. It was built for Congregationalists by John Brown of Ware. Methodists moved in to share it in 1978. It is in a courtyard off East street together with a contemporary school now converted into housing.

Methodist Church, South Street, Bishops Stortford

Right in the middle of the town centre. The church dates from 1902. Large extensions for halls etc on the south side abut right up to the church building.

Built in 1837, closed 1985 and now a house.

High Street Methodist Church, Harpenden

As the name suggests right in the centre of town on the High Street and open most mornings and all day Friday as there is a cafe in the hall which is in the same complex. It was built in 1929 to designs by A. Brace replacing two older churches.

Methodist Church, High St, Watton at Stone

On the main street through the village. Built in 1891 with a matching hall extension at the rear. A meditation garden featuring the mural below has been added on one side.
