On the northern edge of the new town, with fields on the north side and still with a village feel. Well away from even Stevenage Old town. The lower part of the tower is Norman, the upper part and spire 15th century. The south transept, now separated off for rooms dates from 1841. Much of the rest of the church is 14th century, with a full set of medieval screens and the tower features a medieval wooden staircase.
