Baptist Church (former), Victoria Street, St Albans

Now used as a club. It was built in 1881-82.

Methodist Church, Marlborough Road, St Albans

Opened in 1898, succeeding several earlier churches on different sites. The architects were Gordon, Lowther and Gunton. A spire was removed in the late 1960s/early 1970s.

Dagnall Street Baptist Church, St Albans

Just off the town centre, a large building of 1884-85. The interior accessible between 10 and 2 via the associated Cross Street Centre. It was designed by  Morton M. Glover.

St Julian, Cotton Mill, St Albans

The church for the Cotton Mill Estate on the south-eastern edge of St Albans. It is a hall church of 1956, the worship area partitioned off from the hall area. There are some recent rooms added in 2010.

St Bartholomew, Vesta Avenue, St Albans (Roman catholic)

Designed by George A.J. Mathers 1962-64. Despite the central spire and lantern it is still a traditionally planned building. It sits on the south-eastern edge of St Albans.

St Saviour, Sandpit Lane, St Albans

A large church less than a mile north east of the city centre. The church is by William Woodward. The chancel, lady chapel and organ chamber date from 1896, the nave, which replaced an iron church , was added 1901-02. The font is 15th century from Maldon in Essex. The lady chapel screen and reredos are by Martin Travers. The chancel reredos is attributed to Walter Tapper.

The church is part of a larger, more recent, church centre in the north west of the city. The church dates from 1978 and was designed by K.C. White, the centre dates from 2010.

St Mary, Marshalswick, St Albans

In the north eastern suburbs of St Albans, it was built in 1955 and became a parish church in 1972.The stained glass east window was made by parishioners in 1987-88.

St Luke, Cell Barnes Lane, St Albans

A church in the eastern suburbs of St Albans, built in 1964 and designed by E.F. Starling. It underwent a major refurbishment during 2013 when the interior was stripped out and refitted.
